Non-medical healthcare professional who performs helping (auxiliary) activities within the provision of health care under the professional supervision of a health care worker qualified to pursue the profession without professional supervision shall be considered as pursuing the profession of medical porter.

Professional competence to perform the profession of medical orderly is acquired through the completion of an accredited qualification course in the field medical orderly. Physical persons who have passed a part of their studies in accredited medical study programs carried out by universities under another legal regulation or at higher technical schools of health or secondary medical schools have the professional competence to perform the medical profession of the medical orderly by completing a) 3 semesters of accredited medical master's degree general medical studies and successfully passed nursing care examinations within this field of study, b) 2 semesters of an accredited medical bachelor's degree for the preparation of general nurses or midwives or medical rescuers or a relevant educational field at a higher professional medical school; c) 3 years of day study or 4 years of distance study at the secondary medical school in the field of medical assistant or practical nurse or 2 years of a four-year full-time or 3-year long-distance studies at a secondary medical school in the field of nursing, child nurse or general nurse or 1 year of a two-year postgraduate qualification or post-graduate studies for secondary school graduates at a secondary medical school in the field of nursing, child nurse, female nurse or midwife, or d) 3 years of study at a secondary medical school in the field of nursing.
