Professional qualifications for pursing the profession of Nurse Auxiliary is acquired through the completion of
a) an accredited qualification course in the field healthcare attendant,
b) three-year study completed with a final examination with a certificate of attendance at the secondary medical school in the field of nursing,
c) an accredited qualification course in the field healthcare attendant/auxiliary-guardian, volunteer (charity) attendant, healthcare attendant or foster-mother, if the study was commenced by the end of 2004,
d) studies completed with a final examination at a secondary medical school, medical technical school or secondary medical vocational school in the field healthcare attendant, healthcare attendant, or primary healthcare personnel - nursing and a social care , if the first year of the study programme was commenced at the latest in the 2003/2004 school year,
e) at least 4 terms of an accredited medical Master’s study in the field of general medicine and the completion of an examination in the discipline nursing care, care for the ill or a similar discipline,
f) 3 terms of an accredited medical Bachelor’s study in the field for the preparation of general nurses or midwives or the relevant study field at a post-secondary medical school,
g) 4 terms of an accredited medical Bachelor’s study in the field for the preparation of paramedics, or the relevant study field at a post-secondary medical school,
h) 3 years of study at a secondary medical school in the field of general nurse, paediatric nurse or nurse (registered nurse), if it is a 4-year programme, or 1.5 years of study at a secondary medical school in the field of nurse, paediatric nurse, paramedic, gynaecology/obstetrics nurse or midwife, if it is a two-year post-secondary qualification programme, or an extension course for graduates of secondary schools, or
i) 4 years of full-time or 5 years of long-distance study at a secondary medical school in the field of medical assistant
