Radiographer / Radiotherapist
anotace
Activities within nursing care related to the application of medical exposure in the fields of radiodiagnostics, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine, or at other facilities where radiological procedures are performed shall be considered as pursuing the profession of radiological technician. Further, a radiographer / radiotherapist shall, in cooperation with a doctor, be involved in diagnostic and treatment care and activities related to radiation protection in accordance with the special legal regulation; if radiographer / radiotherapist perform certain activities which have special importance with regard to radiation protection, they shall comply with special requirements stipulated by the special legal regulation.

Professional qualifications for pursuing the profession of radiographer / radiotherapist shall be acquired by completing a) an accredited health bachelor’s study for the preparation of radiographers / radiotherapists, b) three-years' study at higher paramedical colleges leading to the qualification of certified radiographer / radiotherapist , if the first year of the study was started at the latest in the academic year 2004/2005, or c) a secondary medical school in the field of radiographer / radiotherapist if the first year of the study was started at the latest in the school year 1996/1997.
